Dear Grady White Owner:
We are sad to announce that the 21st Annual Grady White Owners Tournament has been postponed for a date to be named later.
There have been many hard decisions that we here at Norfolk Marine have been faced with over the past year, and few have been more difficult than this one. Tournament time is one of our favorite times of year where we can experience fellowship with our faithful Grady White families. It has been well documented that the effects of the economic climate are taking a particularly hard toll on the marine industry. This impact trickles down to our vendors / suppliers / sponsors / donors who together enable us to run the not-for-profit event with such great amenities / prizes / format / location at such a great value to the participants. Trust me when I say we looked at the decision from every angle, including a scaled back 1 day tournament, but in the end all signs pointed to postponing until we are able to put this great event back on in its traditional format that we have all grown to know & love.
We understand the unique nature of our tournament gives families a chance to compete together and enjoy all of the things that make ownership of a Grady White boat so special. We hope that our announcement encourages you to create your own unique weekend that taps into the core of what our tournament is all about – family!
The Tidewater Grady White Club has really taken off and the membership has never been stronger. Many events, including the June 13th James River Raft-Up, are seeing excellent turn out and are family oriented as well. It appears our vision for the club is coming to light and we couldn’t be more thankful to the core of individuals that have made it flourish! Finally, I would like to point out that although times are tough, Norfolk Marine is positioned to not only “survive” this cycle, but to continue to offer the same levels of quality product and outstanding customer service that we always have. We are so grateful for our loyal customers and appreciate the opportunity to earn the business of any of your friends / family in need of any of the services that we provide.
